insta-spring lovelies.

So blurry but so happy nonetheless. :)

My too-cool-for-you-awesomeness bicycle.

Home blackberry cinnamon waffle.
If you don't know what Vernors is...buy some and drink it immediately with vanilla ice cream.  You're welcome.
Want your house to smell EXACTLY like spring? Hyacinth. BAM.

I love the buzz that comes with a new season.
Everyone seems to be frolicking about and talking about how lovely it is.  Nothing like some sunshiney optimism.  It's good for the soul.  The above photos were all snapped via instagram while I was doing just that...frolicking on my bike, near Georgia blossoms, eating waffles (that didn't work, did it?), or...in jorts.  I'm cool like that.

But my most exciting news?

I'm visiting these lil' sweet feet in Oklahoma tomorrow.  These presh lil' toes belong to Harper Annie and she is my bestest friend's little sweet baby girl (Could I use the word 'lil' anymore? Sheesh.).  And I get to spend (almost) a week with her.  I cannot wait. :)  Best friend time and baby time.  All around goodness.

Stay tuned for some new baby/family pictures! :)

merry christmas from michigan!

Today is the day we trade in sunny ATL for the chilly midwest.
Hello, 12hr. road trip to Michigan!
I can hardly wait to be surrounded by family and friends :)

Here's to a merry and bright Christmas!
See you in 2012!

You know what the best part of being a teacher is?
CHRISTMAS BREAK.
(Okay, maybe not the best part, because there is that whole 'educating children to be world citizens and make an impact on society' thing, which I also enjoy.)

It's like being a college kid again, except the loans aren't raking in and I have a large stack of papers to grade and unit plans to write.

Regardless, I am excited to finish up Christmas shopping and galavant while drinking coffee with new friends (obviously).

Here's to Christmas-y goodness.  And much more time for blog posts and picture-taking. :)

thankful heart.

This Thanksgiving, my heart is bursting full of thankfulness for:
+family laughs
+wood burning fireplaces
+fresh baked apple pies
+crisp Michigan air
+warm scarves and mittens
+roommate reunions
+pumpkin recipes
+pups who specialize in snuggling
+lazy coffee mornings
+a brand, spankin' new camera
and....

+family togetherness
(This means I can take endless photos of Uncle Joey and our ridiculously cute nieces.  Could they be any cuter?)

Here's to a wonderful and ever-so-thankful Thanksgiving to you and your family!

today is so great.

A beautiful Georgia day.

Why? I'm officially "on break", "off of work" and doing "whatevs I feel like" for the next nine days.  I'm so ecstatic, it's unreal.  In fact, I just painted my nails without one guilty "you should be grading papers now or doing something else that needs to be done" thought.  Glorious.

And it get's better, I fly to Michigan in several hours.
Soon I'll be cuddling with my parents' pups, frolicking with my bestest girl friends and visiting family upon family.  I can hardly wait.

Here's to having somewhere lovely to visit and many more loved ones.
I am thankful.

something beautiful.

Something beautiful is happening.

Actually, a LOT of somethings beautiful ARE happening (besides that ridiculously gorgeous $4 bouquet from Trader Joe's in the enormous Ball jar).

Tomorrow afternoon begins my two and a half week break.  We're talking Wicked, Michigan/Ohio, family, childhood best friends, Charleston, best roomies ever and more.

It's gonna be blog-tastic. Yep, I said it.
