hello, start reading here.

hometown glory. michigan bound.

Oh how he looooves being featured on my blog. ;)

Today, I am flying to Michigan. Home sweet home
 (Insert awesome Adele song.)

Thus, the ridiculously awesome Michigan shirts that Joe and I are sporting.  Nerds, for sure.

I'm also Ohio bound for my best friend from childhood's wedding.  But I don't have a shirt for that. Sorry, friends.

After this Michigan/Ohio adventure, I'm headed straight to Charleston for an MSU roommate reunion!

Stay tuned for family, friend and hometown awesomeness!!! :)

something beautiful.

Something beautiful is happening.

Actually, a LOT of somethings beautiful ARE happening (besides that ridiculously gorgeous $4 bouquet from Trader Joe's in the enormous Ball jar).

Tomorrow afternoon begins my two and a half week break.  We're talking Wicked, Michigan/Ohio, family, childhood best friends, Charleston, best roomies ever and more.

It's gonna be blog-tastic. Yep, I said it.

love at first pedal.

And the kid in me is alive again.

I have a new bike.  But it's not just any old bike.
It's an ocean blue bike. And it looks like an antique. (The grandma in me loves this, duh.)
My newest, most favoritest toy is complete with a coffee cup holder and a rack for toting the latest delectable treasures from Trader Joe's.

I will only allow ONE test drive.

Pefect for cafe en la bicicleta.

Blurryness, iphone photo. SORRY!

Now, I feel like THIS all of the time.
:)

Stay tuned for pictures of this beaut complete with a latte and bouquet of flowers.  I don't even care how cliché that is.

sweet, sweet flashback. part 1.

I am just now realizing that I have not announced to the blog world that I am a fifth grade teacher.

Yes,  I made the jump from 5th to kindergarten. Yes, it's a challenge. Yes, I hardly sleep. Yes, I'm drowning in busyness.  Despite all that, I love it. I really do.

I am certain that is is exactly what God has for me, RIGHT NOW. :)

And until I actually take photos of my classroom to share, here's a little somethin' to make you smile...

Honeymoon flashback 1: One of our favorite days in Barbados, snorkeling with sea turtles on a sail boat.

See below post for the aftermath...

sweet, sweet flashback. part 2.

Honeymoon flashback 2: The aftermath: terrible, terrible burns from said snorkeling. Warning: Do not snorkel in Barbados without SPF 75.

Blogger won't let me post two videos in one post. :(

weekend, come soon.

Things I am dying to do this weekend:

go on a date.
bake.
paint my nails.
catch up on phone calls.
watch a movie.
RELAX.

It really is the simple things when you're drowning in busyness.

AND maybe, possibly try to update the blog world on why I have been M.I.A.

I promise I'm alive, it's just that my entire life is in my window-less 5th grade classroom.

Update soon :)

swiffer jamz.

The other night as I was frantically preparing for an interview, husband was ever-so-graciously cleaning our lil' apartment before my parents came to visit.

And then the time came for him to sweep the wood floors and he made this comment:

"When I swiffer, I listen to this song. Swiffer Jams. So you're gonna have to like it."

And then he played this song....
and I laughed hysterically as he swept and danced his heart out.

So ridiculous.
Now that's good sweepin' music. ;)

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND! :)
